Yeli Williams

Yeli Williams, Medical Herbalist & Yoga Teacher. BSc Hons, MSc, MNIMH, YAP.

Yeli worked for nearly 15 years as a Clinical Scientist for the NHS. During this time, she gained a Masters’ Degree in Medical Immunology, qualified as a Yoga teacher and graduated with a first-class Honours Degree in Herbal Medicine, before leaving the NHS to pursue her dream of a career in holistic health.

Yeli works full time as a Medical Herbalist and Yoga teacher. She is an experienced member (2000+ hours teaching experience) of the Yoga Alliance Professions (YAP), a clinical trainer and a personal tutor for Heartwood (training and supporting student herbalists) and is a full member of the National Institute of Medical Herbalists (MNIMH).

Yeli began her journey with herbal medicine in 2005, when on sabbatical travelling in Australia and New Zealand, she developed an interest in traditional herbal medicine. She was so inspired by this experience that, after her return to the UK she enrolled on a degree course in herbal medicine. After she graduated with a first-class Honours Degree in Herbal Medicine, she joined the National Institute of Medical Herbalists (NIMH) and set up in private practice.

She practises Western herbal medicine and combines traditional herbal knowledge with a modern scientific approach to diagnosis and treatment.
She merges sound scientific understanding with a holistic person-centred approach to healing and optimal health, to produce safe and effective results.

Yeli is available at Hamblys, Monday to Wednesdays. In addition to her regular clinics, Yeli also runs two reduced rate herbal medicine clinics a month at Hamblys (where student herbalists are present during the consultation) as part of her commitment to supporting the next generation of herbal medicine practitioners and ensuring that herbal medicine is accessible to all. Please get in touch for further details.

Herbal medicine can be used to treat or manage many conditions. Yeli specialises in the following areas:

In her spare time, Yeli enjoys being in nature, growing (and cooking) healthy and organic food, practicing yoga and meditation and spending time with her family and friends.
